I am applying to 2 different programs: an ADN at a Comm. college and a accelerated BSN at university. What are some pros cons to each?? pay differential, duties, etc.? I have spoken to different nurses and have heard different things. Both will take me approx 18 months and cost about the same, obviously, the ABSN will be more intense but I thought it was a given that the BSN was better, but I have had nurses tell me that the ADNs have better practical skills???????
Advice???
Obviously I'll go wherever I get (IF!) accepted, but if given a choice I'd like to be as informed as I can.

Just to give you a heads up....you might not get many replies back on this thread. This topic conerning ADN vs. BSN has been discussed hundreds of times on this board. I've learned to just search a question that I might have and 9 times out of 10 that topic has been discussed. For future reference when you do have a question type your question in the search engine and I guarantee that your question will be answered by searching other threads:).
If you still can't find what you are looking for by all means start a thread about it, but it will save you a lot of time rather than waiting for someone to reply to your thread.....especially if they have seen the same topic discussed hundreds of times. Just my ......happy searching!!!!
