I watched this story last night on the news through tears. My heart breaks for you fawnmarie, the parents and families and the entire community. Much love to you and the school staff, parents and community. I think I hugged every kid in our building ...

Today's C'mon visit from a 1st grader. "I'm not sick but my dog pooped in my underwear" This was 4 hours into the school day!! No dog on campus and no smell so back to class the little dear went! The worst part was the teacher that overheard the stu...
Sadly, I have done something similar. Once in LTC job, I was called to patient's room by his daughter. She was changing her dad's shirt and noticed his arms and chest blue. VS all stable, no real distress. Daughter insisted and I, as a brand new nurs...
I've not had much time to check in with my coworkers here lately, but haven't missed a fetch pink Wed. This year is crazy so far!!! (have a lot going on outside of work with family things) Tomorrow is think pink day for us. So I'll be in the pink twi...

PK - 5 200 kids enrolled, 4 ADHD meds, 2 T1DM seeing about 25-30 total each day, most of which could be handled in the classroom if the teachers would just take the band aids! Paper cuts, picked scabs really don't need the nurses attention during lun...
Welcome back! It's been wild in my office the last 12 days, very little time to check in with the AN peeps. 168 more days of craziness, not that I'm counting or anything....

It's a lot of extra work for me but worth it, to go with the 2 in my school. We pick out the meal together and I check their trays after they finish. We are carb counting for a kindergarden and 3rd grader. It's two trips across the building but worth...
I started back last Thursday, kids start back tomorrow! I'm buried under mountains of paperwork today checking all those shot records! I miss being outside so much! Thankfully I have you all to take a break with now and then!

I have to be back at school on the 4th, kids return on 10th. I'm NOT ready! I love hot summer days by the pool or on the golf course! Going to enjoy the last two days of freedom on the golf course with my golfer girls!

The program I worked for made it uniform across the board, health forms for center based and home based due dates the same. Home based kids could not attend the monthly group outings unless all paper work was current. Parents seems to get it togethe...
Field day survivor here! We had ours Tuesday. Bouncy houses and water slide, only one injury one water slide, a few abrasions at the bouncy houses. We had some very diligent PTO parents watching those kids, esp on the water slide (broken arm and ankl...
I felt a little sad this morning when I was putting on my fetch pink. It's the last fetch Wednesday of this school year for me, but I'll try to stay fetch on the course this summer!
We are done next Friday!! Five more days! I'll join some the the staff on the last day after the kids are gone for a brew to celebrate and then we have a staff breakfast next week, after that I"m avoiding teacher type people for 2 months.
