I have been a nurse since 2001. Recently upgraded the initials and pay scale from LPN to RN. I have seen many changes in just this short time. The initial plan was to become a neonate or NICU nurse. That plan changed almost immediately after graduation. I discovered during clinical rotations that I loved working with adults. I have traded LTC for a small rural hospital because bedside care is where I choose to be. I like that my patients are not cases/diagnosis/numbers. They are real people with families, lives and concerns.
