Oh. no.

Well.. not really. But, I will be leaving school nursing after this semester. I got accepted into a bridge program that starts in January, so I'm going back to home health PRN. I will miss all my school nursing buddies!

Wore blue today.. *takes milk carton from knocked over trays and pours it on the 'cool' table.* (throws myself in a chair at the uncool table...and almost fall out-- insta-karma hmph) :)

It is my absolute favorite commercial! Although, I think I laughed too hard at it..I had to go get my own kid with lice on Thursday.

All the time. Well, I don't apply it..I point them in the right direction and let them do it. :)

I would be so lost without y'all! I don't post too much, but I read every post and gain knowledge with all of them! Thank you all! We have a regular day today, so kiddos leave at 4:25 and I'm out of here at 4:50. Nothing huge planned; just R&R with no medical emergencies, please!!

Jeans week again for us, but I pulled out my breast cancer awareness shirt (shouldn't be limited to just October, right?). Back at the cool table.

Well, this is just dandy Principal gave us jeans week for early voting so I'm sporting school spirit today. Another Wednesday at the uncool table. Feeling pretty unfetch these days....

Hope one of those chairs is still available today. Decided to wear all black for Halloween.

I'm in gloomy gray..matches the weather. It's raining....again.

Everything is in a big orange home depot bucket (can be used for BR) tape gauze honey gloves flashlight alcohol preps duct tape toilet paper water first aid kit dust mask baggies plastic tarp And we are getting tourniquet kits soon, as well.

8:15-4:45 for me. School starts at 8:55 and ends at 4:25.

Just another reason I'm so glad I work with the big 'uns! I saw this law and just shook my head. I have to agree with the others, tho, 1. don't ask, don't tell and 2. if i didn't see it/chart it...it didn't happen.

Homebound is the responsibility of the counselors here. I rarely even know that a student is homebound until they come back. ( and sometimes not even then.....)

Our standing orders include neosporin and cough drops. I'll let a student borrow crutches to get to the car, (but I'd rather wheel them out) but our policy does not allow me to give out crutches/WC without a dr order for use in the school.

Oh good grief!! I wore a school spirit shirt and jeans. Too bad our school colors aren't pink.

Great news! I, too, have nodules on my thyroid (Grave's disease). Happy to hear all is well!

AWWW .I got so wrapped up in it being the last day of school, I wore what I thought was cool attire this morning...forgot about being fetch. Scootch over OD.

Last one for me too! This is actually the last 'real' school day for the kiddos. Finals are tomorrow and Wednesday and if they had good attendance, they were given the option to exempt the test/s. Wednesday 1PM---officially no kids!!

There are very few things that turn my stomach....but,yup, maggots are one. I couldn't even imagine...

So sad. My heart is breaking for them.

I recently bought one from Walmart. It's an Igloo brand and it was under $100.00. It has 2 ice setting and makes ice fairly quickly. So far, it's kept up with my demand.
