  1. Congrats on your exams thus far. I'm studying for transitions and will take the exam soon. After that I have 5 nursing exams the fcca and cpne. Good luck to everyone:)
  2. Congratulations on passing the cpne!! :yeah::yeah:I'd gladly change places with you!;)Sounds like you're still in shock. You could be mentally/physically exhausted from all the studying you did prior to the cpne.
  3. Thanks Brian for the break down. :)
  4. Can you explain how you came up with the second answer? How did you get 30 mL?
  5. I had mixed feelings about going through excelsior as well. I was dismissed from my nursing program and didn't want go back to school and start everything again. I'm giving excelsior a try and remaining positive. I'm doing this for me and no one else. I too have anxiety performing in front of others but I will practice til I know my skills in my sleep. I'm not giving up. Everyone panics about the CPNE you are not alone. Some do fail the first time but come back and pass because they now know what to expect. Everyone on this board has been so helpful and supportive. I use that positive energy to help me move forward. My nursing school was horrible with instructors from HELL. But I worked too hard to let any setback stop me now. I'm not quitting and neither should you. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you the best.
  6. Thanks all, I plan to take practice exam B in a few weeks. As long as I pass the exams and don't have to repeat any I'll be happy.
  7. I did the practice exam yesterday and scored a 54% on exam form (A). Has anyone purchased the practice exam for transitions and what is a good score?
  8. Congrats on passing your exams thus far. I'm studying for transitions right now. This is my first exam. I have the required books and plan to take exam in 3 weeks. You can take all the gen ed exams and 2 nursing exams before you register.
  9. It took about 4 weeks to get my initial evaluation from excelsior.Once you enroll officially they will do the official evaluation which for me took 2 weeks.Microbiology is a must for any nursing program so you will need it. I enrolled under the AAS since under this program they accept more free elective classes. The courses that are C-and lower don't transfer at most schools so I wouldn't worry about it.
  10. WOW CONGRATULATIONS DIANA!! :balloons::yeah: I'm just starting and your experience is so great to read.
  11. I would check with BBB and do some more research before signing a contract. I read in the excelsior nursing catalog that they might accept previous BSN courses as a waiver if you received a C or better in that course. Check the excelsior nursing catalog.
  12. Ok I'm already enrolled so I'm good. Was worried for a second.
  13. Yes I got approval from my advisor first. What additional GE requirement? I hope it doesn't apply to me?
  14. The tests are open book. It took me 7 hours to complete. I took a few breaks in between.
  15. That's great Jennifer! :)
