I generally work 36 (3 12's) with incidental overtime from meetings and such. I do overtime once in a while. But for the most part we are well staffed and overtime is discouraged and not necessary....
Good for you for reporting her. I know that's got to be a nerve wracking thing to have to do. I'm still in awe that she did that in front of you! That was extremely bold of her. But in a way it's...

The button front tops are usually not as bad as the v-neck unisex styles. Could you just maybe wear a sleeveless top underneath. That's what I do. I actually find it more confortable to wear a...
There is something wrong with the fact that I'm sitting here eating my lunch trying to come up with how c-diff stool smells to me and reading everyone else's responses. I guess to me it smells kind...

I think it's great that patients have knowlege of their health/plan of care. There have been times as a new nurse I have learned things from patients who live with certain chronic diseases. Patients...

i don't get what you are so offended about either. i think they are saying that we should start utilizing lvn's for the valuable resource they are. lvn's are far more capable than some people seem to...
In my experience most of the doctors I have worked with have been extremely cool and down to earth. The "Butthead ones" mainly were the ones that acted like the nurses were just in general beneath...
