    thank you for your detailed response. I think I will try a shadowing experience to see it firsthand. Just considering different areas of practice.

    I think it depends on what type of nursing you left, and is it the same type you plan to get back into? I don't think 2 1/2 years is that much time out at all. It also depends on your comfort level....
