hello everyone, this is a bit off the subject. i am an rn in nyc and i'm interested in starting a nurse staffing agency. if anyone has any level of expertise in this area and have any recommendations, your assistance would be greatly appreciated. ...
I Currently work in the MICU at Columbia Presbyterian. I started on a Med-Surg/ stepdown floor there. I was an LPN prior to becoming an RN so my initial preceptorship on the MS floor was more about learning the policies and how things were done on th...
I am a graduate of Cochran. They have an excellent program and it doesn't amount to $20,000.00. The accelerated program is called "Fast Track". It 's for students who have a high GPA and/ or LPN's going into the program. The school is hospital based ...
it completely depends on the type of unit that you will be working on. if it's an acute unit, you may have a lot to do no matter what shift you work.on the other hand, when i worked on a med surg unit, i ran around with my head chopped off for much o...
my friend is a new grad and she is doing an internship which at the end of a year will place her in the picu. it was fairly easy for her to get in, they even advertise for nurses- columbia

ok agnus, i agree with the protesting bit- been there done that . a nurse cannot however, decide to not accept an assignment because if you refer to your nurse practice act, negligence is outlined in great detail.
that's 6-7 patients each which is magnificent where i'm from. when i worked as an lpn i had up to 9 pt's on a med surg floor- who i did everything for. i would love to work wherever you are.
