  1. I agree with roser. I would also add that if I were you I would not contact HR at all and I would not apologize. Like roser said they will think you are begging now that you need them. I would apply for the position and hope that the nursing applications are looked at by a different group. It's worth a try even if it's a long shot.
  2. Congrats to both of you! I believe 99.9% in the PVT! I read soooooo many posts on it while I was waiting for my quick results last week. It really put my mind at ease.
  3. Well, it doesn't hurt to put it out there. At least they know she's enthusiastic.
  4. Ok, sorry then. Good luck in your quest.
  5. "I want to focus on the things that the other nurses dont have time for OR make time for." Maybe I'm reading you wrong here but you're sounding arrogant to me. I think it would do you some good to work as a med nurse to get some experience first. That way you would have a better idea of the challenges that are faced by the med nurse when they have to pass meds to 30 patients, do wound care, cover the dining room for meals, ect. Perhaps with that experience you would be able to implement real change.
  6. I have worked on home care cases where there is a flat rate paid for the nurses, didn't matter if they were an RN or an LPN, it was what the insurance company paid and that was it. If there are other RNs on the case and their salary is higher then you should get that rate too.
  7. Hey Attuma, take heart! The PVT worked for me. I got the good pop up when I took the test and I passed. BTW, I'm also in NJ, got my quick results yesterday, and it still says my license is pending on the BON website. I don't think they update that right away.
  8. Good luck Lisa. It's sounds like you are on the right track with your preparations!
  9. Explain more...did she get the good pop up too?
  10. PVT worked for me! Got the good pop-up and passed!
  11. This just in....I PASSED! 75 questions!
  12. WOW! Congrats on facing your fear and on your success!
  13. UGH! Ok, ok, I know back in the day we had to wait several weeks for our results (i know because i waited 8 weeks for my nclex-pn results before the computer testing was initiated) but dang-it the info provided by PearsonVue says results are available "48 business hours after your appointment date" I'm just anxious here! Also grateful that we have this site to vent and talk this stuff out!
  14. congrats! i hope i get the same results tomorrow!
  15. Hi! I took nclex yesterday and I got 75 questions. I didn't count how many sata but I got at least 7 or 8 I think. Lots of med teaching/side effect questions. Lots of priority questions. I'm getting the good pop up but I'm very anxious for the results! It's funny because I took NCLEX-PN many years ago when it was paper and pencil and I had to wait like 8 weeks for results! I don't know how I survived the suspense!
  16. Just took NCLEX. Got home and got the good pop up! Let's hope this works!
  17. LOL! I get this from my husband too! And guess what! My husband is also a nurse!
  18. So sad for the little guy. 50 surgical procedures and you have not had to chance to communicate with any of the nurses at the hospital?
  19. Sounds like your instructor is very "old school". In the real world we help each other with these patients. Don't hurt you back because your instructor is ignorant.
  20. Sounds like you documented the aides assessment, then yours. Yours is the only one that counts. Maybe that's why your DON said something.
  21. I have found that most of the reviews are spot on.
  22. What about students? I think this supervisor is a little off.
