New grad on third job
I am so happy for you, you are finally doing what you enjoy. I am also a new graduate,40 years old and working as apsych nurse. At this stage being happy at the job is uppermost. Med-surge is not for everyone, nursing is so diverse that everyone will find their niche.Good luck

Failed Again... Really Need Help With A Plan!!!
Hi, I passed mine on 7/17 for the first time with 75 questions. What i basically read was the Saunders and i put in extra focus on topics i was not taught in school. I tried to do at least 100 questions each day and i suplemented it with NCSBN learningtext for $49. Also if u search i think someone posted a website with the diseases and infection control, this helped me.

I felt that the NCLEX is not as bad as I thought! Kaplan HARDER
I did not think the nclex was that bad. I used Saunders and the ncsbn learningtext. I passed with 75 questions. To tell the truth Nclex is nothing like Kaplan and all the books out there The learniing text was closer to it.

Do quick results work on weekends?
You will be fine try and relax and wait for 48hours to be up. Since u tried the pearson vue trick and got a pop up, u should be ok. I am also waiting for my result but i am not losing any sleep over it. go to dinner, drink some wine and most of all be positive:nuke:

For those who are studying for and who have already taken NCLEX
I just did mine today. They give you the the name of the meds but not the classification. To tell u the truth nothing really prepares u for the meds as everything look alike.

Sooo tired of patients complaining about foreign nurses' accents....
just because a person has an accent does not mean they do not speak english well , we really need to be more tolerant and appreciate the the different places theses nurses come from.

Wong's /Peds book question

hi , i need to know if i am on the right path. I have a pt who has hematuria and urinary retention. his H7H a nd rbc are low and he had a blood transfusion yesterday. he has a history of hypertension, diabetes and neuropathy. he has a continous bladder irrigation foley with normal saline for the bloody urine.
