I've only seen one crash c/s result in a live baby, when the mom died. The mom threw an AFE when the OB broke her water. We got the baby out in less than 5 minutes and she did well. I've seen 3 or 4...

In KY, we always did them after 48 hours (repeating if discharge occured prior to 48 hours) until about a year or so ago. The law changed and allowed PKUs to be done after 24 hours. That's 24 hours...
