I started out on "M-Wing" and was blessed with invaluable experience by many amazing nurses who I'll always look up to. I floated from maternity to newborn mostly working a little Intermediate NICU. Occasionally, depending on how full we were, I'd be pulled to PEDs or L&D, but maternity was "home". I spent about six months in CCU Step Down, but honestly, my preceptor and I didn't "click" well. Even though I'd saved her career after she made an awful medication error, that wasn't the place for me. I've spent most of my career in LTC and acute private duty care. I was told I'd not have a child, so when I did, I took years off to be with my baby-and then a few more to fight a low grade brain cancer and epilepsy. However now I'm trying to decipher what God's plan holds for me next.
