@bisonbsn I just accepted a great internship in my hometown as well! It is in my top choice unit so I am really thinking of just sticking with it unless Mayo happens to offer me something in the same sort of unit.
So on the job description, it said 8-hour shifts m-f. Does this mean that there would not be anything at night? To be honest I do not know much about the program itself! I am hoping to live in the offered housing but I have a support dog and I am not...
I sent them my stuff and then got a email back today from gmail saying it was not received.... So I am going to call the placement office tomorrow and verify if they got it or see what went wrong!
My nerves are almost higher now knowing that I have a tiny chance! Before I just told myself it was a shot in the dark but know it could actually happen!
@LifeIsBeautiful2019 I think in past years those with rejection did not hear until 2/1. Keep your head held high, you never know if there was a system error or they may email you tomorrow! Either way, this does not define you as a nurse!
@bisonbsn The peds floor at Mayo is interesting.. The nurses actually work with all age ranges from 0-18. So you get to see a lot of different development since the wings are split up but nurses float between the areas if that makes sense.
Has anybody heard anything back from Mayo? I applied for other internships in MN as I am from here and for those I have already had interviews and will get the final word next week. Just curious!
Mine ended up being 2 pages long... not quite sure what they were thinking for length!!! I am very nervous about this whole process. I applied to a few other internships but this is the one I really want (like many others haha)
