Agree- thank you, jleegato, for sharing your experience! I just got waitlisted at the UCLA MECN program today so my interview at CSULA this Saturday carries that much more weight for me- I don't have...
There was a current MECN student on this forum at one point, mecnucla, who gave some good insights. I haven't seen him/her for a bit so I'm not sure how active s/he
Thank you! I have my UCLA stuff doubled up so it goes to both my gmail and work addresses- and nothing in either, when I definitely did get emails from both RF at MECN directly as well as updates...
Sorry to hear that, projext58 I came on to say that another friend of mine had just gotten a rejection as well, so that stuff is happening. Best of luck to you in getting into a great program this...
The first date I was offered was next Saturday, 2/9, and that's the date I'm doing. They offered the following Tuesday and then the next Saturday, 2/16 as well. GOOD LUCK

mecnucla, this is EXTREMELY helpful information! I wonder if the program is testing this system out on you- I heard they don't like to fail folks and want the whole class to graduate as a cohort, so...
I took Physiology through UCLA extension. It's pricey! There is a "lab" component within the class but no actual, physical lab, though this is not specified (on purpose). I think UCLA knows that many...
I'm applying! Getting all my stuff together now- letters, grades, essay, etc. Where else is everyone applying? This is my second choice- UCLA MECN is my first choice, then CSULB third. That's it, hope...
It seems like they take 70 out of about 500 applicants per year, but of those 500, a good 100+ are not actually qualified (not finished with prereq courses, etc). They also have a waitlist and from...
