I am considering joining NBNA because I noticed that they have offer scholarships, and I don't really qualify for any type of fin.aid besides federal loans. Does anyone have any experience with this organization, or nursing associations in general?

I do but I am not sure what information you are looking for -- just about their scholarships? You can PM me if you like with specific questions.

This is a simple one.

There's really no reason not to join at least one professional organization, especially if you are a student and would actually like to get a job once you graduate. In my area new grads are flooding the market so you really need to differentiate yourself in order to become employed in a desirable area. You can differentiate yourself by becoming a member of the NSNA and take an active leadership role, this will show employers that you are committed to being a professional. A good GPA also helps as while Cs get degrees, they won't help you get a job.
