First and foremost 19months sober and I actually love it!! Just began probation and my RN license is suspended for 6 months ..... Please does anyone have any input/experience on what jobs people do while going through this? Just looking for more ideas as $$$$ is already terrifying me with all probation entails. I don't know how people get through this with stress of the unknown, $$$$, etc.... Thankfully, I have my faith.... I admire nurses who are sober and have made it through this process.... really admire you.

Wow. I’m probably going to be in the same boat. I face the board in October - I have a settlement conference. I pray I’m on monitoring/probation and not suspended. It took the board 3 1/2 yrs to get up with me. Can I ask how you got suspended?
Yes.... I got 2 DUI's within a 2 year period. My boss who was a friend at my employment also reported me the day after drinking to the nursing board. However, it had to happen to get me sober. I grew up in England, drinking was the norm... etc etc etc..... But, facing the Nursing Boards was terrifying as working soooo hard for my nursing.... I'm pretty stressed, think on it allllll day every day but know with my sobriety, I will get through this probation. Let me know if I can help you in any way.... I understand the overwhelming levels of stress that this creates.
