Private Duty Nurse and the NMC

Published

Hi,

I'm a Nurse here in the Philippines. I'm currently applying for my NMC. I have a problem with my nursing practice. I don't have any hospital experience. Most of my experience are PDN.

Is NMC accepting a Private Duty Nurse experience?

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

hello, we're actually on the same boat. Waht did you do in the end pls? Cos i've only started with the application.

Any professional nursing experience is accepted by the NMC as long as it is paid (meaning you are employed) and the experience is at least 12 months and you have the necessary documents to prove it. The issue I guess would be if the agency you are applying to or the employer needs a nurse with specific experience (i.e. ENT, surgery, mental health, etc.)
