Primary/Specialty Care Float Pool

Hello Everyone!

I am an LPN supervisor and I recently took over supervising for our companies' Float Pool. To date, it has been the 'joke' of the company with complaints of not being educated enough, the team of 'misfits', etc. My team consist of Front office Assistants and Registered Medical Assistants and I truly feel that this department can be one of the best and one of the highest trained departments in our company. My staff is required to work all primary care, specialties, and urgent cares. I have gone around to all of the managers and got ideas from them on education, improvements, etc. And my team wants to feel like a 'real' department. We do not have our own office and this is a challenge for us to feel as such. I am looking for ideas on anything from making them feel like more of a team, department, training, stuff for them, ANYTHING to improve the float pool!

Thank you all and I appreciate the feedback!
