PreRn NLN Test???

Published

Hello everyone! I was wondering has enyone heard of the pre-rn nln test. I live in Illinois. If so, what can I expect that test to be like? I have to take that test before I can even apply to the program and I also have to score a 90 or above. I was also wondering would it be wise for me to order the study guide or in other words, would it be worth the $29.95.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi,

I am in Illinois and have not heard of a specific NLN pre RN test.

My school does use the ATI testing though with is similar to the heisi I think.

Several schools in the area use the ATI, I had to take it prior to starting my program and at each quarter took on in a subject matter and will need to take a comprehensive final prior to graduation. It is supposed to be an NCLEX predictor.

Im in PA and also had to take the NLN exam, the study guide is definatly worth it. There will be things on the test that you havent seen since high school or middle school. Its not so much about what you know as testing your ablility to think critically. hope this was helpful. (please forgive any spelling errors, just finished my 4th grave yard shift in a row:sleep: )

Check out the pre-nursing student forum. several people have taken the exam including myself. There is an NLN Results sticky at the top of the Pre-nursing student forum. Also if you ran a search you will find several threads about it.

Thanks. You all have been helpful. I think I just might order that study guide!;)

Sorry if I am off topic, but I just go accepted into the program and i just want to ask if are there any hospitals that you would recommend or some that are worse than others? thank you

Hi everybody, sorry if i am off topic but i just found out that i got accepted for the fall program at oakton. But now they are making me pick a clinical instructor and making me decide by april 2. I checked ratemyprofessors.com and judging by schedule, distance of hospital, and instructor rating, I might go with costello. Is he a good teacher cause I want someone who is effective. Sorry if I come off as demanding. Also, does anyone have any opinions on Godi, Sabio, Sitt, Broscio, Martini, Solans, Miranda S., and Qureshi. They don't have any ratings in ratemyprofessors.com so I am still thinking about them. Sorry if it's alot. Thank you though.
