Hi everyone, please i need more information about WGU online nursing. I am currently enrolled in a community college to do some prerequisites but have not decided either to continue Nursing program in the community college or transfer to WGU? I live in Texas with my two children, and also working full time. i have always wanted a fast tract nursing program that works with my schedule. My concerns about WGU are: Is there anyone who finished from WGU and working as a nurse? Will WGU assist in getting employment? Can i take some prerequisites in WGU? How do I do the clinical? Lastly, Is the program cost efficient? Thank you.
Hi,
I am an international student and will like to take classes for nursing prereq in a college in Texas. However, with so many colleges in Texas, I will appreciate any advice/suggestions on colleges to apply to even if the college is located in a small city. My aim is to enroll in a college where instructors in the prereq are knowlegeable to impact the basics. I also did some research and also looking at these colleges. Your candid advice plsss!!

Hi, Im new to AN and currently looking into starting a career in nursing. Its my dream to have my RN and possibly my BSN.
I havent done any of my prerequisites yet and dont have my ADN/ASN. So im literally starting at the very bottom from scratch. I have some college courses that could be transferred but none of those are any of my science classes. Im a single mom in a hurry to get this done in the fastest yet most efficient way possible without getting into more debt. I work at an aesthetic dermatology clinic and work with RN, NP's and PA's daily and several have told me about looking into WGU. From what ive read, its very reputable and everyone seems very happy with their outcome of attending WGU. My main question is since im starting with nothing can i do my prerequisites at WGU, take my NCLEX, get my RN and go right into my BSN program all at WGU? Has anyone heard of or been in the same/similar situation? I thought i read on one of the threads, you csn take a 6 month prereq course at WGU prior to starting the RN-BSN program?
Any information is GREATLY appreciated :)

I don't think your friend knows how high of a reputation WGU has for those that know about it. It is a very well respected school from what I've researched and plenty of nurses on AN have gone there and have nothing but wonderful things to say. You can "become a nurse online"... But not without actual clinical experience. So technically you can, but technically you can't. If that makes any sense at all.
Good luck on your endeavors, OP! I hope everything works out for you :)
