So I am currently taking my final prereq (microbiology) for the RN program here at AVC. As you can imagine, I'm pretty darn excited to get these classes behind me and start the real deal. Anywho, last week we were notified that they are adding Math 115 (statistics) to the prereqs. I am not thrilled about this because I haven't been focusing on math because I wanted to get on the waitlist before taking them.
What they are currently saying is, students entering the nursing program Fall of 2015 will have to meet these requirements. Is this going to apply to me? Am I going to be able to get on the waitlist still after I'm done with this semester? If I don't start the RN program (which I don't anticipate being that lucky) by Fall 2015 will I need to make sure I have met the new prereqs? I saw a counselor last week and they weren't sure either? Anyone have any insite on the subject?
I'm planning on going back and talking to a counselor next week to try to get more clarification.
