Preparing for Nclex-RN exam

Published

Hi Guys...Just wants to know who else is preparing for Nclex-RN exam & from where?(I mean which city) I need serious student's company coz...somehow,group study works best for me. let me know from which city are you preparing from? also, does anybody know any refresher courses out here in michigan? Thanks in advance.

Hello, friend and soon-to-be fellow nurse,

I have been out of nursing for 30 years and chose the Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN by Silvestri to review for the exam. I studied from the book and took tests from the CD (I answered hundreds of questions a day). Last fall I took the exam and passed, doing the minimum number of questions. It was a great refresher and I didn't need to take any additional course preparation. As I recall, it costs, maybe $45.

Best wishes and best of luck; you'll do well.

Thank you so much for replying me. I'm studying Saunder's too!(3rd edition). I'm reviewing book right now & after finishing, I'm going to start doing questions from the cd(plan:- 100qs/day ).

you can try the ncsbn learning extension site. they have a cheap online review course for less that $50 for three weeks. it you need more, there are 5-8 weeks available. its a detailed review, which includes concept reviews and exams. they have online professors for questions.

it doesnt take that long to review. i wouldnt recommend studying too long.
