Take some BIO and CHEM courses. See how you do in them. You will need them anyway for nursing school.

Definitely check out your intended school's pre-requisites for nursing and see a counselor. Most NS programs want you to have A/P, chem, micro, and english 100 finished before you can even apply.

I started by checking out the pre-reqs for the schools in my area, then made a plan and pretty much stuck to it:
First Semester: Nutrition and General Chemistry (General Chem is a pre-req for other classes, so that's why I took it first)
Second Semester: Microbiology
Third Semester: A&P, Algebra, Interpersonal Communications
Fourh Semester: A&P (summer session...oh lordy!)
Fifth Semester: O-chem/Bio-chem, Statistics, Cultural Anthropology
Each school is different, so be sure to check and then make a plan for the next several semesters. If you have a lot of non-science courses to take, try to do those in conjunction with the hard-core science classes so you don't take two lab classes at once (though it is possible, of course).
Other pre-reqs that are common (that I already had from eons ago) are: General psychology, Human Development, Public Speaking, Sociology, English Composition...
Good luck!
