Prelicensure Nursing Students...what did you score on TEAS Exam?

I was curious what other Prelicensure nursing students received on their TEAS V Exam and were accepted into the program? I took one of the online ATI TEAS Practice Exams last week and scored a 69% so I am a little bummed. I was not expecting there to be so much Chemistry and Earth Science on there, especially since I haven't taken those classes since high school.

I just finished the prelicensure program in CA. I scored an 89 on my TEAS. I loved the program. :)

Hello NurseDez87,

I am too new to PM you. I was wondering if you can provide some insight to the last 3 months of the program. I know they say you can't work, but I was wondering what the last 3 months entails.

Thank you.

Hey SocBooKyraMartz,

Well the last three months is a pretty busy. It pretty much consists of your critical care rotation and your preceptorship, which is 5 weeks. I work full time nights as a CNA in a hospital, but I took a leave of absence during my preceptorship (its pretty much full time, 3 12 hour shifts a week for 5 weeks, since i already do that, there was only way I could do 6 12's a week for 5 weeks while surviving the last month of school). Also, along with your preceptorship they have you studying for the ati predictor exam which will give you a ball park of how successful you will be at passing the NCLEX on the first try. uses this exam as the exit exam for the program. Also, you're having to finish up a few last minute assignments and papers, so I was doing a lot of homework on my leave. Its definitely doable if you stay on top of yourself but I would definitely not work if you can help it, mostly for your preceptorship though, the rest is fine. I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any more questions! :-D

Hello NurseDez87,

Thank you for that input. I though I had to do a leave of absence for the whole 3 months, which would mean I would have to use all my vacation time. I am glad that the most important time to take of is during the 5 week preceptorship, that way I can have some vacation time to use when I study for the NCLEX.

Now I am just waiting and hoping I get in the the Cedar Sinai Cohort that starts this October.

Did you get accepted to the Indiana cohort?
