I am about 2 months away from graduating. (Yeah!!!). I just found out I'm pregnant. (yeah!!!). Now I'm afraid I won't be able to get a job anywhere because who would want to hire a pregnant new graduate. Does anyone have any idea what kind of response I can expect get from employers?

Specializes in none yet.

hey congrats on finshing up school soon! and congrats on the baby! its all very exciting! :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: i know from experience (not in the nursing field though, but my mom is a hiring manager) that if they know or see that you are pregnant they will usually not hire you for SOME OTHER reason due to the fact that it would be discrimination! if you are only a few weeks pregnant..you will not be showing for quite some time and if i was you as soon as your done with ns i would get a job asap hun! it will work out the way it will for a reason! i pray the best for you and keep us posted on what happens!

Don't tell them you're pregnant. Legally, I don't think they can ask you if you are. If you do show early, try to wear something to hide the baby belly.

Congratulations!! :)

The only thing I worry about is the certain things you can't come into contact with while pregnant. I would be worry trying to explain that one without telling them you are pregnant. Isnt there some chemo drugs that if you are pregnant you cant take care of that patient? You need to do what is in the best interest of your baby and without telling them could put your baby in danger. JMO

Unless you dont tell until after you worked a week or so.
