If so, how did you manage?
with lots of support from my mom.
she slept with the baby at night so I could rest and go to school the next day, she would also take care of the baby so I could go to the library or starbucks to study.
I was blessed with a super healthy child that never got sick--- so she was a good baby.
I ended up finishing school the semester after my anticipated date because I missed one day clinical day--- that my not so nice teacher did not want to let me make up by doing a project or come on a saturday---
i was accepted in the nursing program in the fall of 2002 and then found out i was one month pregnant. i also got married that aug. and was fired from my job (over some bs) all in the same month. needless to say it was a stressful time. toward the end of the semester i was almost evicted from my apartment in the winter and had my electricity cut off and had to go stay with my parents. (husband was on unemployment, he got layed off shortly after we were married) i failed nursing 101 by 2 points. 75 points were needed and i had a 73. i don't even remember if i applied for the following spring. but anyway 6 years later and after taking 4 c classes over (was denied for 2007 for low gpa) i am now waiting on an acceptance letter for spring 09. guess i had a lot to get off my chest. but being pregnant is doable, but not easy, so make sure to take care of yourself first. thanks for letting me get some things off my chest, it has been a hard long road.
I got pregnant at the beginning of my last semester and finding a job while pregnant was the WORST thing ever. I would rather do it while in school, clinicals stunk when I got sick but I managed. I had another while in college but not nursing school, I slept when she slept, studied when my DH came home from work and slept a bit at night. It wasnt as bad as it could have been-she was a great sleeper, a happy baby. I couldnt have done it with a cranky baby.

Have any of you gotten pregnant just before starting, or just about to have your baby in the first couple of weeks of nursing school?
