Nurses LPN/LVN

Specializes in LTC.

So I have been an LPN for almost 3 years, most of my experience in LTC and now I am in PD. Also, I am almost 20 weeks preggo. My pt is a heavy lift and almost an hour drive. Recently at 18 weeks I interviewed for an office position that is less than 10 miles from my home with benefits and all that good jazz. I already have health ins and Im not expecting pay while out on maternity and also am planning to take only 6 weeks out. However my question is did I make a mistake? This is my 1st baby and I'm barely showing but I went ahead and disclosed to the office manager about my pregnancy. She got great recommendations from my references and also happened to know a NP that I have worked with and she called her the day after my interview and got a "glowing recommendation". She also called me back the afternoon after my interview just to ask my due date. I let her know off the bat I haven't had any complications, I am young and healthy and only plan on taking my 6 weeks. I met both the PA and MD in the office, both women and both seemed to like me. But the MD seemed concerned that I made the comment how stressful LTC is...ppl who haven't worked it just don't get it. Anyways I called back to check the end of the week and she said the MD was on vacay until first week in August and they would be making a decision after she returned. Worried now that I messed up....should I call back Monday just to let office manager know nicely that I dont want them to forget me??
