I would LOVE to do this program! I was actually registered for it last year, but they had to cancel because not enough people signed up. I couldn't believe more nurses weren't interested in doing this. From what I've heard, it really gives you a different perspective on the life of a preemie. I know that they show you the positive and negative effects light, sound, positioning, etc. have on the babies. I know someone who was all comfy in a Snuggle-up with a Bendy Bumper and everything! Brilliant program, wish I could experience it.
I have been through this program twice. I attended at a hospital in Seattle then helped arrange for it to be at our hospital. They are soooo informative. I would suggest as many people as possible to attend. They will even walk through your unit and give tips. The people that do the education also attend difference conferences with Child Med, they are wonderful!!!!!!
It is a terrific company!
Thanks for everyone's replies, I was putting together a presentation on Develpmental care and was wondering what people thought about the Preemie for a Day program. It sounds like a fun/educational program that could help new nurses, veteran nurses, as well as everyone else working in the NICU. Thanks, nurseamena

I was wondering if anyone has ever done the Preemie for a day program. If so what parts were the most fun/educational?
Thanks, Amena
