Predictive value of HESI RN Exit Exam

Published

Hi all!

I just graduated from my (ADN) program on August 10th and received my authorization to test yesterday! I've got my NCLEX scheduled for this coming Tuesday (Aug. 21), and while I feel pretty confident in my test-taking abilities, I'm still nervous about the *what-ifs*. My program incorporated an NCLEX prep course into our curriculum, which ended with four different versions of the HESI RN exit exam. My scores varied between 1120-1186, leaving me feeling fairly well prepared, BUT I keep hearing how different NCLEX is from HESI, and it stirs up a bit of panic in me. I guess my real question is, has anyone scored greater than 1000 on HESI and bombed their NCLEX?

Also, I'd much appreciate if anyone has any tips for a quick-and-dirty review source. I've still got access to the Elsevier Evolve website and the Saunders review text, but haven't picked up anything else (3 days isn't much time, so I guess I'm wondering if there's a bare-bones *something* that may be useful).

I've read through many of the posts in this forum, and realize that variations of my questions have been asked MANY times before, but not in this particular manner. That said, thanks in advance for taking the time to reply! :)
