Hello!

I am due to graduate in August of 06' from LPN school. During the month of July I have to participate in preceptorship with an RN. The requirement is 90 hours and it can be in a hospital (med/surg) or in a nursing home. I was wondering if anyone could guide me in finding a willing RN to do this with me. I dont know any RN's besides the one's that I have clinical with. I would really appreciate any help I can get as July is going to be here before I know it. I live in Upper Sandusky so any of the surrounding areas would be great (Tiffin, Marion, Findlay, Bucyrus, Mansfield...) Thank you very much!

It would be a good idea to let someone know what responsibilities someone would need to do as a preceptor.

I did mine at Findlay Surgery Center. I just called them and asked if they had nurses that were willing to do it and if they had a contract with Owens, then let my school know I wanted to go there and they set it up. I didn't know anyone there ahead of time. A lot of students from my class did theirs at Tiffin hospital without knowing any nurses there. If you let the school know where you want to go, they should set it up.
