Hello,
I am a new FNP student starting at UT Arlington in 8/2019. We have already been told by our advisors to start looking for clinical preceptors. Anyone know where I can find preceptor near Harrisonburg, VA?
Thanks in advance

first you need find out from your advisor what setting are acceptable vs not, then you need to look for primary care practices, urgent care, etc some schools will allow for one semester shadowing an NP/MD in a hospital whereas some school hospital is a no-no.

tell them that the Sawyer initiative mentioned that the school being accredited by CCNE needs to find you one.

I'm struggling to secure any clinical placement here in northern California. I finished the didactic and I have no where to practice. Any input is greatly appreciated
California is impacted with nurses and np's especially Northern and Southern CA....central not so much, try organizations like the CANP.
Can the CANP help?
I am required to do my clinicals in Primary care office , pediatric of and womens health. No hospital.

What is the Sawyer Initiative and does it have “teeth”. There programs popping everywhere online. This easy money for the school. WE ARE UNABLE TO FIND PRECEPTORS! Especially in women’s health and peds. Once again nursing has screwed ourselves over. Do PA’s have this problem? NO
