  1. How do we prevent Nurse Practitioners from undervaluing themselves?

With the abundance of schools that accept students with no prerequisites, board exams that are pretty simple, no wonder MD's and PA's look down on the role. Obviously, those NP's who think being a provider is nursing 2.0 are in for a rude awakening.T...
  2. NP Salary/Pay Let's Be Transparent

I should mention when compared to cost of living, its on the low end.
  3. NP Salary/Pay Let's Be Transparent

NP pay is way better in Texas and the midwest than in California, thats for sure.
  4. How do we prevent Nurse Practitioners from undervaluing themselves?

90 Percent of NP schools do not prepare students. If you have been in at a clinic with other PA's or MD/DO students you would know that most NP's don't know much. It is embarrassing and will lead to the role of the NP meaning nothing in due time. If ...
  5. How do we prevent Nurse Practitioners from undervaluing themselves?

I think you missed the bigger picture, in an individualistic society like the US where its all about me me me, in situations like this those new grads will accept anything yet know little and be used like a next level RN. The actions of schools allow...
  6. How do we prevent Nurse Practitioners from undervaluing themselves?

I took the AANP exam last month and was surprised how simple it was. It was kinda ridiculous that most of the questions were one liners and just asked you to remember facts, very little critical thinking involved. Which is a reason why the NP profes...
  7. United States University (USU) FNP

with so many online NP schools, no wonder the profession is losing its credibility. there needs to be an overhaul and standardization of NP education and entrance exams in place.
  8. Why The Future of NP Practice Maybe A Two Edged Sword

Literally surprised by the amount of people who are going to online NP school and don't have any knowledge of simple things like S2 S2. Some schools accept people with no acute care experience. There is a lady who has only been a nurse in a detention...

Got ya...I see your licensed in mulitple states ty.
  10. Why The Future of NP Practice Maybe A Two Edged Sword

From what I understand as an NP you can not see patients in a different state if you are licensed in another state...
  11. We Did Not Sign Up For This

The main difference is why you should vote for Sanders. Firefighters and Cops are socialized where healthcare isn't. Did you really think corporations would be in the interest of their employees or the public.
  12. Refusing Care of a COVID-19 Patient Due to Inappropriate PPE

A national emergency where other countries with less gdp and budgets were better prepared for and had their staff equipped with supplies. Your a civilian not a soldier under attack from rockets, where you try to survive, be a bit rational.
  13. Refusing Care of a COVID-19 Patient Due to Inappropriate PPE

You must be new to nursing. I have seen nurses refuse patients all the time and get assignments switched, that is not neglect. And if safety is at risk you CAN refuse. Dont quote laws or statutes if you have no idea what you are saying.

"We the people..." oh wait its always been about the corporations, just read about an ER DOC saying I thought we lived in a 1st world country...the media has fooled all of us for a while and made us to believe we were the best, while the world laughe...
