Refusing Care of a COVID-19 Patient Due to Inappropriate PPE
That's great that you're healthy, however, this isn't about YOU, you need to consider the people around you. While you may be healthy, what about your patients/patient's loved ones/staff members/your loved ones that you're exposing covid-19 to including: -The ages of 60 -Have respiratory diseases such as Asthma -Pregnant women -Immunocompromised/low immune systems -People with HIV PPE is to protect the wearer from infection to prevent spread any highly contagious disease. Obviously, these people deserve care and they didn't ask for this, but neither did the people listed above. If you're going to provide care, please be safe and smart about it.

Refusing Care of a COVID-19 Patient Due to Inappropriate PPE
That's like telling a fireman wearing nothing but casual clothes to battle a forest fire, or a policeman without equipment to face a gang with firearms; you expect them to jump out? No, they need to be smart and equipped. The same principle when it comes to healthcare. Personally, if I was a patient with covid-19 and nurse refused to enter my room due to a shortage of ppe, guess what.........I wouldn't get mad at the nurse, instead, I'd get mad at the hospital. Why? Because it is NOT the nurses fault that there's a shortage of supplies, it is the hospital's fault for not being prepared for a pandemic such as this one. In my last moments, I wouldn't want blood in my hands.... It's not like the nurses are say "Nah, I don't feel like taking that patient" and lounge in their station, the nurses are being smart and protective- because if they don't wear their ppe, guess what, now the next 2 patients they have that didn't have covid-19........BOOM! Now there is 3 patients with covid, all thanks to the nurse who didn't wear the proper ppe, bravo!! SMH

Boyfriend wants me to stay away
GEEEZ what was up with all that unnecessary backlash?!? It's not like she's asking for makeout sessions and s*x ? Anyways, first off, I wanted to say I'm sorry to see you had to deal with this. In my situation, it's the other way around. I've haven't been in contact with a covid patient, but if I did, I told my boyfriend that as much as I don't want to kick him out, I suggested him to move with his mom. He firmly said he wasn't going and he would risk it by staying with me. For the meantime, I think he can do cute and thoughtful things like send love letters, send a teddy with his scent/voice, or he visited you through the window like this guy: https://youtu.be/JQBFCjLR97U Again, I'm so sorry you're dealing with all this, but remember, you're not alone *HUGS*
