I was wondering if anyone has used a preceptor finding service. I am having trouble finding a preceptor and wondered if a preceptor finding service would be helpful. If someone has used one, and they were successful on finding you a preceptor, what service did you use?
Thanks,
Kathy

Ask your program for help!
Using pay-to-play services for securing preceptors isn't good for you in many ways.

I can't speak for Kathy, but my school offers no help at all. If they did, or, if providers were welcoming students, pay to play services would not exist. They are an unfortunate consequence of a system that leaves NP students desperate. I would love to see some NP's on this site offer to precept. I'm in North Texas if anyone would like to volunteer to be my preceptor! I need 180 hours to begin in August 2017. Family medicine, peds, adult, or geri. Any of those areas!

I would never be in a NP program that didn't provide preceptors. What a gigantic load of stress for no reason. Your job is to be a student not to sell yourself. I''d rather just go to PA school...
