I'm beginning my journey to become a nurse. I am trying to enter an Accelerated BSN program as I have already have a B.A. in Environmental Studies. I graduated in 2009 and a little nervous about starting school again. I'm determined though! I haven't been this excited and driven about something in a long time. Unfortunately, my B.A. didn't cover much of the BSN pre-reqs. I'm currently taking some non-science courses online and planning to take Human/Pysio/Micro this June at a 2 month a course pace.
How difficult were pre-reqs for you? How long did it take? Any general tips?
You've already earned a degree...so the pre-reqs shouldn't be too tough...lol. Working full-time, I find that a combination of on-line classes and traditional classes work for me. The EDUKAN site has community colleges that offer on-line science classes with virtual labs. They have every nursing pre-req required. I made sure they were accredited and that the Accelerated BSN programs I plan to apply to would accept my credits. I only took Microbiology through them. Somehow I got a B...definitely was challenging! But I'm going to take Anat/Phy and Chemistry at my local community college.

I couldn't imagine doing those 3 courses in only 2 months.. buckle down, stay on top of them, and study hard..
Best of luck :)
