Dear Nurse Beth,

Should I do my pre reqs at a community college(currently doing now) and then go to a uni for my nursing program? I'm doing the RN to BSN route.

Dear Pre Reqs,

It's good you're planning on getting your BSN. Doing pre reqs at a community college can save you money, and then you can transfer to the four year college for your nursing program.

Just be sure your credits are transferable.

Some community colleges have agreements with universities which facilitate transfer of credits, and some innovative community colleges are offering RN to BSN programs to help meet the need.

Best wishes,

Nurse Beth
