Hello guys
Could you please recommend me some easy straightforward books to study for these topics and take the tests:
- Anatomy and physiology
-advanced anatomy and physiology
-biochemistry
-Microbiology
-Statistics
-Psychology
I was referred to some big books which I won't be able to study in a few months, I have some good background in these topics but its been a while
Thanks so much

What books are required for the classes you are taking? I would probably start with those...

Good day, pdc8:
I agree with VivaLaVespaGirl. Wait to find out what books you will be using and then go from there. I just finished AP2 and Microbiology along with my last "required" psychology class. Do you know what books you will have for each class?
Thank you.
The thing is the university charges loads of $ to take those classes, and because I took some of those years ago so I decided to just study on my own and take the exams at a community college, I was told I can just take the tests and if I pass I am good to go
So Honestly I can do it alone, study for a few months and take the tests, that's why I need to know what simple and good books you guys use out there? ..thanks a lot
If I understand you correctly, you check with the nursing programs you plan to apply to make certain they accept CLEP credits for the particular classes (I state this because my school would not for the sciences). Given that, does the college that offers the CLEP tests in those classes have specific recommendations for materials to use to study?
Thanks pmabraham
No not CLEP exams, CLEP exams don't have Anatomy and physiology,Microbiology and biochem.. honestly I am confused,I am between the two universities and two community colleges and not sure what to do , the secretory at the community college told me they have tests I can take for A and P,Micro.. then if I pass the tests I don't need to take the classes ..is there such thing out there ?

You might be able to test out of the requirements but likely won't receive credit and it may not transfer to the university or a BSN program. The test out may likely only count for the school that permits you to test out.
It sounds similar to a placement test at most colleges. If you do well in the math placement test you can jump right into calculus 1 or 2 instead of taking remedial math, linear algebra or pre-calculus.
Good day, pdc8
I think JustBeachyNurse hit it on the head.
