Staring into the abyss of education

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I have about 4 years until I graduate with my BSN (IF I get accepted to CSU LB) otherwise it will be 5 lovely years.

Do you ever find yourself intimidated and frustrated when you realize that you have so much more time until you get to start your career? I know I have the rest of my life to work but sheesh so much happens in 4 years.

Can anyone sympathize with that? Does time fly or go by slooooowlllly? :uhoh3:

I am currently 25 years old. I will be 30 years old whether or not I have my education. I will be 40, 50, and 60 years old whether or not I have an education.

My focal point is that the time will inevitably pass no matter how I choose to spend it. In all honesty, I'd much rather spend the time enriching my knowledge, furthering my education, and making myself more marketable to the workforce.

I am absolutely not intimidated by the amount of time I will spend to further my education because the time is going to pass anyway!

This is the advice that someone gave to me when I was struggling with the decision to go back and get a second Bachelor's in nursing. I agree 100%, time will pass either way so you might as well spend it doing something you want and you find worthwhile.

No. Actually, at age 47, I find myself disappointed that by the time I get my NP, I will only have 10 years left to work in the field to become an expert.

Don't get too excited about getting out of school to go to work. When you don't get summers off and 4 weeks at Christmas, you will wish you had enjoyed it. :lol2:
