Prereqs for NCAT ABSN program

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello Guys and Gals,

Just wanted to start a thread for those interesting in applying to NCAT ABSN program for 2018. I have about 5 prereqs to complete. I'm signed up to take Anatomy and Global Nursing this January. I'm wondering if there are any more out there like me so that we could possible start a support group :) AGGIE PRIDE!

After the interview .. umm about 3 or 4 weeks

Well it just seems like it's taking longer than that my interview September the 12th I still haven't gotten a email or anything

Hey Eliza,

I think at this point they are interviewing/selecting everyone that applied after August and up to the deadline of Sept. 29th. I applied around Sept. 1st and haven't heard anything back, so I called a week ago and they told me the committee still hadn't discussed my application and that they tell people to wait 6-8 weeks before hearing back. I'd say hang tight for another couple of weeks as the last of the interviews are made and the last seats filled. I know the waiting is stressful. Another thing is that this week the Nursing Department has had Open House and a bunch of other activities the whole week, so I'm sure that has kept them busy. Hopefully you'll hear back by next week! Good luck!

Hi I got accepted please write me back I want to get to know all my classmates I look forward to meeting you all

Congrats Eliza!! That's great news! Good luck this upcoming year!

Congrats girl! Look forward to meeting you in the spring!

Hi all -- Any news on the 2019 cohort acceptance? I was interviewed in early September.

SamDidit753... Hi! I saw your post from last year (I was trying to get some info on the application process for the 2019 cohort). If you don't mind me asking, did you get into A&T last year? I had my interview in early September but still have not heard back from ABSN admissions. I also went to UNC Chapel Hill, c/o 2014 -- So I feel your pain with the GPA. UNC is so tough... but definitely preps us for good grades elsewhere. I would love to know where you are in your process now, and possibly get some advice!

Good morning !

Always wonderful to meet a tarheel! But yes, I was accepted and am actually finishing up my last semester. (Graduation is Dec 8!!!! Yayyyy!! ) but the biggest advice I can give you is to be patient with the process. That was honestly my biggest hurdle throughout the entire program. I can email you personally with some more detailed strategies that worked for me.

Hi Chelseml,

If possible I would love to get some tips from you as well. I applied for the 2019 cohort.. just anxiously waiting now. I just graduated in May 2018 so I still am completing 3 prereqs (Chem, A&P 2, and Global Health) which is really worrisome for me. But I have my CNA, a high GPA, and I scored in the 70s on my TEAS. The interview also went really well for me. Do you think I have a shot at getting in considering all that I am missing?
