  1. Congrats Eliza!! That's great news! Good luck this upcoming year!
  2. Hey Eliza, I think at this point they are interviewing/selecting everyone that applied after August and up to the deadline of Sept. 29th. I applied around Sept. 1st and haven't heard anything back, so I called a week ago and they told me the committee still hadn't discussed my application and that they tell people to wait 6-8 weeks before hearing back. I'd say hang tight for another couple of weeks as the last of the interviews are made and the last seats filled. I know the waiting is stressful. Another thing is that this week the Nursing Department has had Open House and a bunch of other activities the whole week, so I'm sure that has kept them busy. Hopefully you'll hear back by next week! Good luck!
  3. Nice! Good luck! I'm sure you'll kill it. And thank you. I just handed in my application yesterday so we'll see what happens.
  4. Hey Everyone! So I wanted to see what you guys thought are the chances of me being accepted into the ABSN program at NC A&T for the upcoming 2018 cohort. I've seen that many of you on this thread have already gotten in. Congrats!! I know you all are excited! Anyhow, here are my stats on my application, the good and the bad: Healthcare Experience: CNA in Burn ICU, Medication Technician/CNA at an Assisted Living Facility Volunteering: Monthly Commitments as a Spanish Volunteer at a Community Free Clinic TEAS Test: 97.3% Individual Score; Subject Scores in the mid- 90s Essay: Decent Enough I Would Hope Prerequisites: Taken All Courses. Made A's and one B in Chemistry Here is my downfall. Cumulative Graduating GPA: 2.82 Now, let me explain this one a bit. So during undergrad I was a transfer student from UNCC. My GPA there was a 3.8. After transferring to UNC Chapel Hill, my new GPA was a 2.82. I graduated from there. Therefore, my classes from UNCC aren't factored into this GPA which puts me at this abysmal GPA. My hopes are that they take all of my courses and average them giving me a GPA of 3.3. What do you guys think? Is anyone else applying having been a transfer student? If so, how was your experience? Also, where is everyone living? If I do get into the program, I will be living in Mebane, NC which is about a 30 minute drive from Greensboro. Would anyone want to carpool and such? Also, if it makes any difference, I am a male Hispanic applicant. Maybe this will give me a bit of an edge in the application. Anyways, give me some tips, comments, or thoughts!
