I wanted to apply for the winter term but then it was said it would be best for me to apply for the fall because I had to take a couple of more classes. I currently work out there in the HPD dept. The nursing program is very competitive out there. It's a great program though, I don't think you will be disappointed at all. Good luck!
Thank you I applied already = / but since I know it's so competative I am so nervous. I always read the fall 2010 thread and I'm so proud of all the people who have gotten accepted and the ones that are patiently waiting! they aren't even done with the fall admissions and I am anxious for my results already = ). Good luck with your plans as well!
Thanks. I have decided to take the LPN route. Since I have a big family I thought it would be wise for me to start there so at least I can work and get paid a decent amount while working up towards my master degree in nursing. It may take a while but I would prefer to already be in my career and climb that latter to where my goal is. I wish you nothing but the best!!! Let me know your results, if that's ok.
i agree with you, i have thought of that option as well but the fact that i yet don’t have kids pushes me to get it done asap through the quickest route. but in life you always have to have a plan b and i would have to say that is my plan b b/c the rn programs are only getting more and more competitive.
i called nova to see when will they begin reviewing the applications for winter 2011 the guy told me that today is there deadline to finish reviewing the files for the fall 2010 class and that all applicants will have a response by the end of next week and that as soon as they were done with the fall 2010 class they will begin on the winter 2011 class.
so as soon as i get my good news i will let you know because since i do have plan b any news is good news b/c it basically gives me a concrete goal and track to follow. the sooner they tell me that faster i can make decisions to get closer and closer to receiving my masters as well. in life you have to be optimistic and roll with whatever is thrown at you. it’s not how long something takes you, but that you get done what counts = ) at the end of your journey you always end up winning. = )
take care and ttys**
i completely understand! all nursing programs are very competitive. the waiting is a bit crazy too, for those accepted it’s worth the wait but for others it really sucks. all we all want is to become nurses but at least we are one step ahead. these programs just need to hurry up and come up with an organized procedure for reviewing applications instead of keeping people hanging from a thread of hope. i rather know quickly yes or no so that i can continue to plan my life accordingly. = ) well the best of luck to everyone we will need it now and even when we begin our journeys at nova. gooooooo sharks!
