Need advice on A&PI

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hello everyone!

I am taking A&PI this spring and have a question for those of you that have taken this course.

I purchased Barron's Anatomy Flash Cards and would like to use the winter break to my advantage and get a leg up on A&PI.

What system(s) would you recommend that I focus on and memorize before class starts? I have just over 3 weeks before class starts.

Thanks in advance for all the advice!

Have a Merry Christmas!

I can recall some twenty plus years ago starting with the skeletal system in the A & P class we had. I bombed on it. Was just relearning how to study for college classes again. But if I'd memorized the bones I'd have done fine and my ego wouldn't have been so low starting out. I had to study really hard, probably hardest than any other subject, as I recall, in the anatomy and physiology class/lab. don't let it get to you, tho'. Just develop your own best study method, mine turned out to be repetitive written plans. But I'd definitely start with memorizing the skeletal system during the winter break. If you're stressed and needing a break though, don't get all bogged down and study too much. Your mind and body need a break to recharge for the next semester's studies.

Specializes in none but hope to have one soon.

Thank you for all of the great advice!
