Is there a chance?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hello guys...I applied to a nursing program that accepts 100. Put on waitlist-number 24. Was told that I would probably not get in, but I checked on the school website yesterday and 94 people have registered for classes. Wonder if that means I could possibly have a chance? I know they were calling waitlisted people about a month ago, but I figured I was too far down. Now I"m not so sure. Any advice? Should I call the school and tell them I see they have these spots that haven't been taken? Classes start in two weeks, so there's not much time.

I would wait. There are still 23 people for them to call. Do u know how many people they've called from the wait list?

I guess, to me, it would really suck to be told no over the phone. But if you really want to call you shouldn't let anyone stop you. Good luck.

Since they started calling people from the waitlist last month, I hope they've made their ways down the list a little. Did I mention there were 500 applicants?:icon_roll

I can't imagine what it would hurt to call. Try to be neutral though and not accusatory. If you approach it by listing numbers and why they should have gotten through the list by now then it's going to seem judgemental of their process. If you want to call then simply let them know you are an alternate and would love to know if it looks like there's a possibility a spot might open for you. Good luck!
