I Need Help...

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello, my name is Gloria and I am looking to relocate to NC in the upcoming months. I have decided to pursue my nursing career after 6yrs of being a housewife, with 2 kids. The problem is that I don't know where to begin. I majored in Nursing Assisting in H.S. but was unable to complete it. It's been 6yrs so I know I have to take the course all over again. I need to know how I can go about doing that. I am looking to relocate to the Charlotte area if anyone has any ideas or information for me. Thanks.

The first thing you need are answers to your questions. The best place to get them is to contact the schools in the area you will apply and talk to counselors. Every school has different criteria and so you may end up trying to take courses and gain certifications at one school that is not required at the others.

There is a forum for NC, where nurses and students may be able to give you more information:

There are NC people on this forum too who may be better able to help. Good luck and congrats on your decision. It will be a long arduous journey!

Thank you for the information and welcome. I'm going to check out the site you gave me. Wish me luck. Thanks.
