Does it matter where you take your prereqs?

Hey guys, I couldn't think of a short title for this that would adequately describe what I'm asking, so here goes! Basically, I'm a senior at Texas A&M University and will apply to several nursing schools in the spring. I'm considering both BSN and ADN programs, but what I've been reading about some ADN programs makes me worry a little. Many of these seem to be points-based programs based on GPA and entrance exam scores. I took most of my classes here at A&M and definitely don't have a 4.0, but will probably end up around a 3.2. Do schools look at where you took your classes/prereqs? I'm not saying a community college is easy, i took my share of difficult classes at Blinn, but i believe it may have been a slightly easier option if I had taken a lighter course load of only prereqs for nursing at a community or junior college. Does anyone know of any schools who will look at where you took your prereqs and take that into account? Any advice? Thanks!

i'm pretty sure most schools dont care where you took your pre-reqs, as long as the school is able to transfer the credits.

I think a good many but not all do if your gpa is reasonably close to the lower end of what they accept. I know some schools factor in patterns rather than simply the end numbers and it seems reasonable that where you took the classes would matter.

Call the nursing program and ask. Many schools have nursing program advisors who will evaluate your transcripts. In addition to looking at your grades, they'll usually take a closer look at your GPA for science and other prereq classes.
