Hi all!
Pre nursing student here, looking for some advice and hoping to connect with others in the same boat.
About me: late twenties, have been out of school for 10 years and doing a career change. I have been doing my prerequisites since Feb 2021 and am hoping to meet the Aug 1/21 deadline this year.
Stumbled upon this form after searching for application advice online. After looking for a few days I have realized that I will likely need to reapply with higher grades. (currently will finish with 2 low A's and 2 B's)
Wondering where others have done/ are doing their prerequisites?
For any one who has also reapplied, were you able to utilize the same reference letters?
Any other tips or advice much appreciated!
Good to everyone applying ?

I've also applied to the January 2022 intake and I'm in my mid twenties. I'm applying with 3 A's and one B and I'm currently working as a MOA at a hospital. Good luck everyone! ?
That’s awesome! I have another forum started under UFV Winter 2022 intake that we can keep going for those that have applied for this intake and stay up to date on the process! ?

I've worked for the past six years but I was a SAHM for four. I'd try and brainstorm some relevant skills that you've learned from being a parent... ex. Insane amounts of patience, not afraid of bodily fluids, etc. ?
I think nowadays people are a little more understanding and fair in offering opportunities to mothers. When you make it to the interview round I'm assuming they'll ask about it. Personally, I'm just going to be straightforward about that time of my life. Raising my own children while they were young was a large priority for myself. I'm hoping the nursing faculty will be understanding of that. ☺️
