Pre-Nursing Student Research: Writing Class Interview

Published

Interview Questions:

First off, I would like to say thank you for taking the time out of your day to help me, and want you to know I really appreciate it. I'm taking a writing class and am looking to learn more about how writing and reading are incorporated into my field. Please answer the following Questions to the best of your ability.

- Dakota Bishop

Name & Position/ Credentials:

Why did you choose the Health care field? How did you narrow that choice into the position you have today?

Are there any specific topics that are widely discussed in your field? Common problems or issues that need to be addressed?

What sort of reading do you do for your job?

Are there any specific journals that you would recommend to a person wanting to learn more about the field and what it is discussing?

What type of writing is expected out of you in this field?

Do you have any suggestions for someone trying to enter your field?

Specializes in NICU, ICU, PICU, Academia.

You are asking us to do your homewrok to the point of cutting and pasting even your name onto the field? Really?

PLEASE, go somewhere other than an anonymous internet forum, find a nurse (who you can actually verify to BE a nurse- unlike here) to interview and have THEM talk while YOU write the responses.

PS: Posting your real name here allows your instructor to do a quick Google search and see how you attempted to have others complete your work for you. Not cool.

Its not home work, I'm asking for your name/Job Position. I am taking a writing and research class and am writing an assignment about the different types of writing and reading nurses do in their everyday jobs. I thought this would be a good way to get a broad range of responses. Sorry if that was unclear. I simply meant to collect research to aid in my writing

One of the benefits of this being an anonymous website is the anonymity that allows for venting and questioning without fear of repercussions as would happen if a real name were attached to the account. The fact that you are asking for real names and positions is going to turn people away from helping you as it compromises their ability to discuss situations with the protection of anonymity.

You do realize that coming to an anonymous message board for research pretty much takes your validity level to zero, right? You have no way of knowing if anyone is providing you with real information. You would be better served finding people you can verify are nurses and asking them to complete this.

I have already done the interviews the traditional way,I have met with two nurses and received information. This was never meant to be in place of my actual assignment and was only going to supplement it. I'm sorry that I was unaware that this is not the place for posting it and deeply apologize for any offense I created. I wish you all the very best and would delete it if I could
