Pre-Nursing---HOSTOS CC NURSING PROGRAM Spring 2022

Hello Fellow Colleagues, 

I am current student at Hostos CC and decided to create this thread for anyone applying for Spring 2022 to share information, tips, ask questions or ask for advice.

I have 2 more pre-reqs; Chem 110 & Mat120 and I will be taking the TEAS in December for Spring 22 I will begin studying for the TEAS in September.

My professor shows up late and quickly skims through the chapter. 
My Lab Professor, takes up most of the class time opening connect labs. 

 

 

Wow. I have had professors like that, learned nothing from them, and taught myself the material. That is why I went to tutoring, and it has helped so much cause I was stressing about it and even stopped studying Microbiology. So I feel like I am back on track again.

I am glad that you are retaining the information, and worst-case scenario, HALC is open Monday - Thursday for tutoring. I recommend it if you are confused about something.

I feel the semester is moving so slow but I just rcvd my study material for the TEAS so I'm working on the practice assessments now. Hostos also opened up the NUR 216 Courses so the schedules are up in CUNYFIRST incase you want to prepare for Spring. 

How is your studying coming along?

Thank you for telling me, I went to go check it out. They have clinicals on Saturday, too. I thought it was strictly evening. 
 

I was studying then stopped because I had back to back exams thrown at me. I plan to resume on Wednesday. I’m gonna start with the science portion. How is your studying going?

I decided to start with a few practice assessments to see where I stood, based on the results I have to focus on the science portion as well. 
I’m using the assessment tool from SMART EDITION and the Momentrix book.

Hello everyone I’m Juldeh, nice to meet you.

I just came across this website and found the discussion about Hostos CC Spring 2022 nursing program. If I’m not mistaken, we should have all taken the TEAS exam because the last day to take it was on the 11th of November I think. I’m also a pre nursing student at hostos and I took the TEAS exam already, just waiting to see if I got accepted or not. Just curious, did you guys take the TEAS too?

I did take the TEAS in November. Like you, I am also waiting to see if I am accepted.

Hello everyone. 

I am currently waiting to see if I'm accepted into the Hostos Nursing program for Spring 2022. Does anyone know when they will let us know who got accepted by any chance.

Me too, we have to take a drug calc exam on the second mandatory orientation
