  1. I was conditionally accepted! What about everyone else?
  2. Hello, I am Julissa. Nice to meet you too. I did take the TEAS in November. Like you, I am also waiting to see if I am accepted.
  3. Thank you for telling me, I went to go check it out. They have clinicals on Saturday, too. I thought it was strictly evening. I was studying then stopped because I had back to back exams thrown at me. I plan to resume on Wednesday. I’m gonna start with the science portion. How is your studying going?
  4. Wow. I have had professors like that, learned nothing from them, and taught myself the material. That is why I went to tutoring, and it has helped so much cause I was stressing about it and even stopped studying Microbiology. So I feel like I am back on track again. I am glad that you are retaining the information, and worst-case scenario, HALC is open Monday - Thursday for tutoring. I recommend it if you are confused about something.
  5. I am doing OK. Chemistry is a bit intense in comparison to Microbiology. So I have been going to tutoring to help me in that regard. How are you doing with your classes?
  6. My mother passed away from COVID at the height of the pandemic last year. It was similar to this man's, except she was intubated for two days then removed. I live in New York, so COVID deaths were very high in April last year. My heart feels so heavy for all the victims of this horrible virus and the fantastic nurses and healthcare personnel that went through this difficult time, taking care of them the best they could and with the resources they had. It was seeing the great nurses that spurred me on this path to becoming a nurse myself. Your posts, in particular, give me comfort. It is heavy, but I still read it because it helps to know what my mother was possibly surrounded by, lovely nurses taking care of her. I could not be with her, which sucked because she and I were attached to the hip! So, I hoped she was not alone. I need that comfort. Thank you for everything you do.
  7. I will have my first lecture starting tomorrow, and I wonder if I will get anything out of it. Back in the Spring, I was completely on my own, teaching myself the material. I had a lab professor who did not care to repeat himself. He just showed us a video of lab safety, and then we had a virtual lab tutorial after class, as a lab assignment, to make sure we know how to use it. Was not much.
  8. I checked out those, and it looks really good. Thank you for letting me know about it. I am also considering purchasing the ATI prep packages. But I want to wait a bit before I do. I am trying to get the hang of this semester first before I start. Right now, I am doing the measurements chapter with the scientific notations. I like these topics, but time management is something I am working on. It is a lot of information. How are you doing with the course?
  9. How cool. I am on the Mon/Thurs course schedule. I believe I found the website. So, I will begin studying that in September too. It's a good thing I searched on here to see if someone is applying for the Spring! I was clueless. I am pretty nervous about it, but I found this website called Lecturio with a nursing curriculum. It is like a supplement to nursing school. It seems to have good reviews. I have been watching so many nursing videos.
  10. Hi, I also am planning to apply for Spring 2022. I am currently taking BIO 310 and CHE 110. I have no idea what to expect. How are you studying for the TEAS? Are you using a particular website or a study guide?
