Pre- nursing and Cells? How deep do they go?

Published

Okay, I have been trying to study up for my A&P class coming and I decided to start with cells. I have learned (Thank you Jesus!) all the parts of the cells Or the organelles of the cell and there funtions. What else should I brush up on about them? Thanks

the functions of each of the parts. What does each part do? We compared the cell to a factory...

Here is an informative link I found. I hope it helps.

Any A&P course worth it's weight is going to cover metabolic pathways. You need to have the common cellular metabolic pathways down cold. Energy production, transcription and protein building, and cell division are among the several that should be on your list. A good understanding of solvent and solute movement and transport along with the sodium potassium pump operation is important as well. Know cell physiology and pathways well as this will return to haunt you in microbiology.

The gross anatomy and histology lab work is simple memorization and regurgitation unfortunately.
